My name is Karmela Oikonomopoulou.

I am currently living in Athens, working in advertising as Creative Partner for diverse brands all around the globe.

My background

My formal job title is Creative Director from copywriting
and my experience spans the last 15+ years

I’ve worked as an on-site, hybrid, freelancing creative professional
in multinational advertising agencies as well as boutique ad agencies.

I am experienced in all aspects of idea development, from ideation/concept
to execution. I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, which reach out to me (and me to them) to strategically solve creative challenges and give life to meaningful communication for brands.

Visual Storytelling is my calling

And this is good news for you. After all, in the age of skippable content, engaging storytelling is pretty much… non-negotiable.

Whether be it static (a key visual), just audio (radio spots) and both visual and audio (commercials for all media) storytelling is my strong point.

A good idea is just the beginning

For a good idea to flourish and illuminate the Brand one needs to work hard. I am willing to roll up my sleeves, big time.
I am always apt to undertaking a project from scratch to air; to mold it from its very beginning, and carry it through its completion, paying close attention all the way through:

ideation, creative team orchestration, presentation, amendments based on clients’ feedback, collaboration with the production company and the director, shooting supervision, post production.

And everything else in between.

My Mind

My mind works in a “strategically creative manner”; this allows me to be able to develop creative paths that can actually work for the brand, be campainable across all media, be meaningful. For the present, but in the long run too.

I am into creativity that sells.
I am into creativity that builds, – one step at a time- strong, vibrant, pulsating Brands.
